This six-month intensive course covers the basic and intermediate elements of Modern Standard Arabic “MSA” with references to some dialects that are spoken in the Gulf area such as Iraqi, Levantine, and Khaliji dialects. Students will be immersed in the target language using communicative methods of instruction and all four modalities of reading, writing, speaking, and listening. Meanwhile, the students will learn structures of the language that will enable them to function in Arabic in everyday contexts.  The curriculum is thematic and provides students with enough language and cultural awareness to create with the language and be engaged in basic daily conversations, using simple sentence level discourse.
